Every marketing agency says they drive results. Very few of them show the math. The Client

A family-owned home services business in Southern California, in business for 11 years, with a small team and a reputation for quality work among past customers. They had always grown through word of mouth and the occasional Home Advisor lead. When those channels slowed down in late 2025, revenue started flattening — and the owner reached out to us because, in his words, ‘I don’t actually know how people are supposed to find us anymore.’

The Starting Point

Our first 48 hours on any engagement are spent doing a deep audit. Here’s what we found:

  • Google Business Profile was claimed but 60% of the fields were empty. Only 14 reviews total (average 4.3 stars).
  • Website was built in 2016 on a page builder that was loading in 7.2 seconds on mobile. Core Web Vitals were failing.
  • No structured data markup anywhere on the site. No blog content published since 2019.
  • No social media activity in 8 months.

The Strategy

We built a 60-day sprint plan focused on four priorities, in order:

Week 1–2: Foundation

We fixed the website speed (migrated to a faster hosting setup, optimized images, removed unnecessary scripts). Added LocalBusiness, Service, and FAQ schema across all service pages. Installed analytics, tracking pixels, and a proper CRM. Claimed and fully optimized the Google Business Profile — every field, every category, real photos, service area definition, products, attributes, the works.

Week 2–4: Local SEO Push

Built 42 citations across the top local directories, all with consistent NAP data. Launched a review request automation that fired a personalized SMS 24 hours after every completed job. (Within 30 days, total reviews went from 14 to 48 — all organic, all from real customers.) Published 8 neighborhood-specific service pages targeting hyper-local keywords. Rewrote existing service pages for intent and clarity.

Week 3–6: Paid Acquisition

Launched a tightly targeted Google Ads local services campaign with AI-powered bidding. Built out Meta retargeting to capture website visitors who didn’t convert on the first visit. Used Camisado’s predictive audience modeling to identify the three highest-intent buyer segments in their service area, and concentrated 80% of budget there.

Week 4–8: Content and Email

Published 4 blog posts answering the highest-volume questions we identified in keyword research. Launched a simple 5-email welcome sequence for anyone who requested a quote but didn’t book. Added a lead magnet (free pricing guide) to the homepage. Started collecting emails.

The Numbers (Day 0 vs. Day 60)

  • Google Business Profile views: 2,100/mo → 9,800/mo (+367%)
  • Google Business calls/directions/website clicks combined: 112/mo → 591/mo (+428%)
  • Inbound lead volume: 11/mo → 74/mo (+573%)
  • Cost per lead (paid channels only): $187 → $42 (−78%)
  • Reviews (total): 14 → 48 (+243%)
  • Average star rating: 4.3 → 4.8
  • Booked revenue from net-new customers: baseline $0 attributable → $78,400 in Month 2 alone
  • Total 60-day marketing investment (agency fees + ad spend combined): approximately $14,600
  • Approximate ROI: 5.4x in 60 days, with compounding organic growth locked in for months to come

Why It Worked

Nothing we did was revolutionary. There was no ‘secret hack.’ The results came from three things, in order of importance:

  • A strategy that prioritized the highest-leverage levers first. Local SEO and Google Business Profile came before ads, because the ads would have been wasted sending traffic to a slow, broken site. Sequence matters more than tactics.
  • AI-powered targeting on the paid side. Our predictive audience models identified segments that the client’s gut had completely missed. Cost per lead dropped by 78% within the first three weeks of optimized spend.
  • Senior-level attention, not a junior account manager reading a checklist. Every decision, every creative, every keyword was reviewed by someone who’s been doing this for a decade. Mistakes caught early save months of wasted spend.
